Keefer Ecological Services Ltd. (KES) provides ecologically based solutions inspired by the ingenuity observed in natural systems. In operation since 2005, KES is recognized for innovation in ecological restoration, reclamation, regulatory work, collaboration with First Nations throughout BC, ethnobotany, plant ecology, and research. Clients from diverse industrial and community-based backgrounds seek our expertise including mining, hydroelectric, oil and gas, First Nations, provincial and federal governments, municipalities, and others.

Products & Services
KES is dedicated to all sizes of projects and is experienced in a range of Canada’s ecosystems, including old-growth forests, wetlands and grasslands, as well as disturbance types of all sizes such as coal mines, burns, hydroelectric reservoirs, transmission lines, and power generation facilities. Our team works on projects that span a variety of disciplines, including environmental assessments, facilitating First Nations/industry joint ventures, native plant research, restoration work, agro-ecological design and endangered species research, management and recovery projects.
Products & Services
KES is dedicated to all sizes of projects and is experienced in a range of ecosystems including hydro electric reservoirs, old-growth forests, wildfire locations, power generation facilities, coal mines, wetlands and grasslands. In 2013, KES will be continuing work on rare plant recovery (for mines and hydroelectric power plants), increasing seed availability for native plant species, and developingtraining for native plant nursery workers for aboriginal communities in BC. KES will be entering its fourth year of recovery work for the critically endangered plant species Spalding’s campion (Silene spaldingii).
