Cori L. Barraclough (Chair) | Principal, Aqua-Tex Scientific Consulting Ltd (Kimberley)

As a Freshwater Ecologist, Project Manager and Co-owner at Aqua-Tex Scientific Consulting, Cori helps local governments and neighbourhoods manage and protect their water resources in a cost-effective and ecologically responsible manner. From boots-on-the-ground stream assessments, to crafting provincial government policy, she is able to bridge the gap between science and management.

Gina Bennett | Chair of Academic Innovation and Applied Research, College of the Rockies (Cranbrook)

Gina’s academic background includes both science and adult education; both contribute to her enthusiasm for educational technology in all its forms. Her past position at College of the Rockies was focused on the integration of appropriate technology for teaching and learning and its application to increase educational access. Her current position includes a focus on fostering a culture of innovation within all college communities, and extending innovation and research to contribute to business, industry, and community development.

Chris Botterill | Owner, Genex Marketing (Cranbrook)

As the owner of Genex Marketing, Chris helps businesses to more effectively engage their target audience through the use of innovative web technologies and measurable digital marketing strategies. Based in Cranbrook, Genex Marketing has been in the business of creating cutting edge custom designed, user-friendly website solutions since 2001.

Bill Sanderman | Owner, Applied Compression Systems (Cranbrook)

Bill is Vice President of Applied Compression Systems, a Cranbrook-based company that designs and fabricates specialty gas compressor packages for the oil, gas, petrochemical, alternative fuel and waste-to-energy sectors. He has over forty years of sales and marketing experience with an extensive export background.

About Us

KRIC is dedicated to fostering a culture of innovation as well as the development of science and technology in the East Kootenay.

 

We are a non-profit society that provides programming and events targeted at businesses, communities and students/educators related to science, technology and innovation. Led by a volunteer board of directors, the Council’s primary funding is provided by the BC Innovation Council.
